News Item 3 – (17 January 2012)

North Dakota players,

The 2011-2012 season racquetball schedule is now in full swing with some upcoming tournaments in January, February, and March.  Check out the tournament schedule LINK on this website to see upcoming North Dakota tournaments as well as some in the surrounding area.  Also, in case you did not see the tournament schedule, the 2012 ND State tournament will be held in Bismarck from 23-25 March.  Currently, the Bismarck tournament is getting ready to start this Friday (20 January), then next will be the Deek’s Open at Grand Forks.  This will probably be the last tournament at the current facility due to a new facility being built.  So, if you have played many years at the CCFC, try to make this one.  Courts Plus will have their annual March Madness event the beginning of March, then we get ready a couple weeks later for the State tournament.  Hope to see you at the tournaments!

News Item 2 – (24 August 2011)

North Dakota players,

The 2011-2012 season schedule is now listed under the tournament schedule link on the left hand side on the NDRA website.  Also, I added some other tournaments (either non-sanctioned or in Minnesota and Canada).  Lastly, we are trying a new type of tournament in October.  Basically, you will be entering a skill division (either Open, A/B, or B/C), your team will have one player in each of the three divisions.  You will accumulate points depending how you do in your matches.  At the end, we will give out a Team trophy that will be used in subsequent years.  The name of the tournament is in memory of a long time great racquetball player named Donn Skadeland who died in a tragic plane crash.  We are planning on giving much of the proceeds to Williston State College in Donn Skadeland’s name.  I’ll shoot out an e-mail when the tournament is posted on R2Sports.com and our NDRA website.
